can u do a 5 stud conversion with dc5r break set up?

yes but alot of work is required.

you may need to change the entire LCA's, Hubs, Sussy trailing arms, Sway bars and enlinks to suit, Driveshafts as one end will be for EK and the other end is DC5 ... not worth it for the money, might as well source for an DC2 5LUG conversion.

in short yes

Sorry can you highlight exactly how ?

Short answer is more no , as it's not financially viable and there are better more bolt on alternatives
Too :0)

Never tried it before but Im running Spoon S2000 caliper with 300mm PMU SCR PRO rotors on my EGK24A with custom brackets and I did machined the hub by few mm to clear the rotors .

can you run the DC5R/EP3R brakes on DC2R hubs with just custom mounting points/brackets. or is it more complicated...?

Sorry for thread jack.

Are you kdding me? This is completely wrong, you cannot swap the LCA, hubs, RTA, swaybars and away you go

no im not "KIDDING"

its been done but no DIY

http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=43681

check out post #5.

but it seems that people are keeping the DIY's to themselves rather than sharing the love.

once ive figured out on what is EXACTLY required, then imma write up a DIY

Its NOT an conversion, alot of time, money involved. but once someone has 101% done this with proven results/DIY then well know then.

but for now ..its all speculation.

Can you read? That guy swapped DC5R Brembo Calipers and Rotors onto an EK. Not entire LCA, hubs, suspension, trailing arms, swaybars and endlinks like you say.

i mentioned of those other things as supporting items that could possibly be required... who knows...

Only the pic shows the rotors and calipers .. and his wording of Custom & CTR caliper brackets is what he mentions..

saying that we dont know exactly what else he did to make it fit ..

he could of kept it secret to be original... etc etc..

so back to OP. YES it can be done. we just dont know how exactly .. :( ... LOL

lol at editing your post.

First you say you can do it (5 stud with DC5 setup) then now you say you don't know.

yeh i edited to add the link of what i found on the net .. got a prob?

all my post says YES you can do it,

its just no-one knows exactly how .. and neither do i (personally - at least im being honest about it) its all speculation on what the WWW says.

so if you have a prob with my responses GTFO of here coz all u do is troll on peoples opinions and speculations ... where all we do is help people with their Questions by providing answers from the WWW or exact DIY experiences.

thats what a forum is for and noobs are entitled to hear / see different types of answers - whether they are concrete accurate or speculated.

Guys

Let's AGREE that, in reason - dc5 brakes CANNOT simply fit onto a ek in a normal sense.

That is ,as I said earlier - it's not financially viable nor easy for any normal modder, including the OP.

Agreed Ben - cannot SIMPLY fit and not a financial viable thing to do. (but if u have the $$ why not).

at the end the day it still FIT's and is possible :p

Its been done.

Yeh thanks for the luck.. The good thing is that i have access to autocad, design fabrication at work.. All i need is access to do any special brackets / cnc machine work if requried.

Otherwise time to shop for a complete DC5 brembo 5lug with the sussy.

Gunna be a mission but worth a try..

technically, any brakes will fit on any car. Its just a matter of getting custom brackets made up.
