My civic ED rattles when driven over 100Kms on the highway..Anyone come across this before?

Where are the rattles coming from?


Dash, Rear, Front, during turns or potholes?

From engine ? Gearbox ? Wheels ? Body ?
Is there just a noise or a feeling too ?

my EG has heeps of rattles .... it has stiff suspension and its an old car lol

is this a general thing - or something specific like gearbox etc?

sorry gents, rattling coming from the front wheels, the steering shacks and car is total stock. Tyres has been balanced.

well it could be your CV joints or Ball Bearings .. usually the CV joint would start rattling if you take a turn and the bearings only make noises if the bearing is nearly worn out then doin high speeds.

Tyres balanced? Does it shake when you brake while youre travelling over 80? If so rotors need machining.

car doesnt shake when braking, cv joints look good no splits.

could be steering rack bush's, CV joints, front arm assembly bush's ... might be best to take it to a mechanic to diagnose
