basically my coilovers were to low at the front and they tore the outboard rubber boot that are covering the cv joint on the driveshaft on both sides. Pretty sure the actual joints are fine as i haven't driven much since i lowered the car too low and now that i know the boots are ripped im not driving any more.
so my question is how much am i looking at to get both boots replaced or where can i buy them so i can DIY the replacement? I have a DC5R
thanks in advance

driveline.com.au! they're all over the county. they sell the diy kits, not that expensive either :)

or go to a mechanic, around 50 bucks. kinder annoying trying to get the cv boot on the cv without the right tools. unless you remove the whole cv end to get the boot on.
this is the tool. also need a air compressor. so yeah unless you have a air compressor IMO not worth buying the tool. Unless theres a tool without the need of a air comp?

boot replacement normally costs $60-80 bucks including parts/labour.
dont just do the outer boot do both outer and inner boot for peace of mind. (if the inner boot looks old).
there are a few places around. a driveshaft joint in granville and 1 in rydalmere.
the one in rydalmere is kool - they will do it on the spot while you wait. and to make time fly go visit the brothel around the corner for some happy ending ...by the time they are done with the boot - you will be paying them with a happy smile on your face - and a wet hair from the shower :P
