do you need to get the x bar mod plated?

I'm guessing the X bar requires removal of the rear seats and seatbelts, which requires a plate. The actual bar itself doesn't need a plate, though.

Im not sure what head clearance is like with the x-bar but I know that a regular c-pillar brace doesnt allow enough room for rear passenger head room which is frowned upon by the police. The only way around it is to remove the rear seats/seat belts and have it mod plated as a 2 seater

I ran one non mod plated for years, mine was a miracle x bar that allowed the use of rear seats though.

yes you'll definitely be fine. there really aren't a huge amount of things that require mod plates. a lot of people (and cops) seem to think otherwise for some reason though

erm..
"its perfectly legal officer"
because it is? unless you've removed the rear seats without a mod plate, its perfectly legal to have an x bar.
