Drove to the Yarra valley via Diamond Creek, Kangaroo Ground etc. Then to Marysville via the Black Spur. It's a route I used to take quite often on my motorbike.
There was plenty of opportunity to throw the car around, especially with a bit of speed. I was pretty impressed with how it handles. Seems very sure footed and responsive. Admittedly, I've not really tried to wring out another car (well maybe a Chevy Impala rental in the US), but I have driven a number of other cars and this felt really good. The recommended corner speeds on the spur were mostly optional (as is the case on the bike). Also had to do a passing manoeuvrer past a car towing a boat and the idiot that wouldn't pass him but was happy to tailgate him. It was a piece of cake.
So overall, very happy so far. Once it is a bit more run in I'll start doing some longer runs on straighter roads with cruise control to see how comfortably it eats up the miles, but I think it will do just fine.
