Hey All,

I've got a review on an Iphone & Aux Interface Kit for the Honda Accord Euro CL9 models with Factory 6 Stack CD Head Unit.

Disclaimer: The following is provided as a GUIDE ONLY, and neither myself nor Ozhonda take any responsibility for the outcomes of someone else doing the following. You follow these steps at your own risk!

Pictures provided & used in this Thread are not of my own but are of the respective owners. (Pictures were borrowed from the Ebay Link Below)

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=270836913029

Product: Wiiki Tech Iphone/AUX Interface Kit.

This Product is for those who want or are looking to add the Iphone/Ipod & AUX feature to there existing OEM Factory Head Unit. Read On....

I had recently purchased a Interface Kit for my car.
Here is the actual one I bought from Ebay. (Link Below)
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/270836913029?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

I had installed it and found it was really easy to install and fit. It's practically as easy as 1, 2 & 3 Steps.

Works 100% with those CL9's with the Factory 6 Stack CD Head Unit or any of these other Units as shown below.
http://hz00.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/638/155/414/414155638_670.jpg

This unit is a direct plug and play, very User friendly & very easy to use.

Features: (I have actually tried & used the features)
-Works with all Ipods & all Iphone's including the Iphone 4S.
-Charges The Iphone/Ipod
-Uses the Standard Ipod/Iphone plug (pic below)
http://hz00.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/189/425/405/405425189_765.JPG
-Can Control through Ipod/Iphone, Headunit Controls & YES Steering Wheel Controls aswell!
-AUX uses 3.5mm Jack for other audio players such as MP3 players.
(I actually tried to plug the Jack in my Iphone at the top and played music and it still works through that way but of course you wont be able to use the head unit & steering wheel controls)
-Change to CD (6 Stack) Function or to AUX (Ipod/MP3 player) by a press of a button on your factory unit. (CD/AUX Button on your Factory Unit)

All and all this Product is a Great investment, value for money and improvment upgrade for your Factory Head Unit. Well Worth the wait & The Buy!

Cost: About $65-$70AUD (Kit/Set)
Shipping: Free with this Seller (Click link above)
Delivery Time: From CHINA to AUSTRALIA (Sydney, NSW), Approx 4-6 Days from time of Sent out.

I can and maybe will post up a Installation DIY for this product if need be. (I didn't take pics of when I installed it but I can pull it all out again just to take pics and show to all

Here is a Quick & Brief Write Up of Installation. As I Said, its as easy as 1, 2 & 3.

Step 1 - Removal: Remove Bottom Compartment (Under Air Con/Head Unit). But to do so you
need to pop up or off the transmission cover (Manual or Auto which ever - Gear Lever Surrounds). I did not completely removed mine I Just poped mine off and left it Lose. Then Remove Ashtray by just pulling it out, behind that is 2 black screws, remove them then remove the whole ashtray & Cig Lighter compartment out. Remember the Cig Lighter is still connected so slowly pull it out and unplug 3x connections. Now Remove 2 more screws located at the bottom of the Large Compartment and remove Compartment. It sound alot but this first step can be done in a min.

Step 2 - Plug: Now without removing the headunit itself. Just have a look and feel under the unit for a WHITE Female Plug that is un-used. See pics. (Pics was taken from the net). Sorry I couldn't edit the pic to draw a circle around the female connection on head unit but u can clearly see it in pics and especially the second pic.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7021/6801749491_f93e099134_z.jpg
Plug the Male connection cable supplied. Now plug the rest in as to the supplied instructions for the interface unit. Now tuck it all in. I made and drilled a small hole in the back of the center compartment to feed the Iphone & 3.5mm AUX Jack Cables through.
Now reinstall and put back the center compartment and so on in the Reverse step of the other pieces removed.

Step 3 - Play: Now that everything has been refitted and put back into place.
Switch power on the head unit. Plug your Ipod/Iphone in (should hear a "Beep" on ur Iphone, to indicate that its charging)
and Select AUX by pressing the "CD/AUX" button.
Press it twice or untill display screen shows "CD-4". Now your in Ipod/Iphone Mode. Just press play on the headunit.

Here's below a quick Reference Guide on the Display screen when you press the "CD/AUX" Button.
CD: On Normal CD Mode
CD-3: On AUX/MP3 Mode (3.5mm Jack Connection)
CD-4: On Ipod/Iphone Mode (Ipod/Iphone Connection)

Examples: To Play an MP3 or Audio Device, plug the 3.5mm Audio Jack in the desired device then choose
"CD-3" shown on the display screen, using the "CD/AUX" button on your head unit.
And to play Ipod/Iphone Choose "CD-4".

Now your ready to go. Enjoy. Hope this Helps for some. If you need more pics on removing the console bits, let me know.
Like I said its as easy as 1,2 & 3 Steps. 1. Remove Center Console Pieces, 2. Plug Unit in & 3. Play!

How is the sound quality? because i currently am looking for one, not sure if i should get the xcarlink or this one.

Sound quality is 100% perfect and I have aftermarket speakers fitted.
There is No background noise, scratchy, crackly, fizzy or any other unwanted noise/interference.

The xcarlink is a good product aswell. My mate has the xcarlink and I find this product equally as good.

Just installed it on mine, I can say it's very good and doesn't make any buzzing sounds.
Install was super easy, only had to drill a hole through the compartment box thing to run the wires through.

No sorry, I don't think this product will work on Sat Nav models.
You may need to search for a specific product for your model man and im sure there is some out there.

Great article. I avoid apple products like the plague, but after reading this I may get an Ipod. Just to reconfirm, you can change tracks using the steering wheel buttons? That would be just perfect.

Also, are the cable lenths long that you can bring it out from the storage box/arm rest box? Thanks

Cheers mate, yes the tracks can be changed via the steering wheel.

The Ipod cable is just enough to take it out past your gear stick. Although you can purchase an extension from ebay or elsewhere (dick smith) if you want to extend it more longer.

Installed this last night. Took about 15 mins for the whole DIY. Very happy with it. One weird thing though, when i plug my iphone, it's crisp clear, but when i plug my missus ipad in there, theres a staticy sound running in the background. Any ideas?

Hey mate, glad ya happy with it.

I'm not sure what that static sound would be,
never tried connecting an IPad before though.

No need to remove factory head unit, as mentioned in the first page for the DIY, you only need to remove the center compartment and then plug the interface unit in under the factory head unit then replace/put back the compartment and your done.

The accord euro headuni is actually 2 parts:

1. The facia
2. The cd stacker

They are actually seperateble

Now the iPod interface plugs into the cd stacker component.

So it may work if the cd stacker has a minor fault, but I can't guarantee tho.

so u lose the function inbuilt 6 stacker by using this ipod connector?

No, the inbuilt 6 disk stacker has a connector for you to plug in another stacker, that's what the iPod adaptor connect to.

NOTE: For those of you with factory sat nav, refer to the link

Pretty good step by step video. I also recommend getting one of those panel poppers to keep from scratching your interior panels. They are available from supercheap auto for $19. It comes in a set of 5 in different shapes and sizes.

Hope this helps!!

I just bought a 2006 Euro LuxNavi.
What do I need to buy/do to get bluetooth hands free and audio streaming to work? On my Kluger it was easy 'cause there's a 3.5 mm input jack to which I just plugged in a BT dongle. I don't need iPod/iPhone connectors, just bluetooth streaming for my Android phone.

Installed... easy job in GE Jazz. Didn't actually have to drill any holes, the Jazz glovebox has a slot in the side that is perfect for putting the cables in and then ran the ipod cable behind the centre trim to the storage compartment so it's all nicely hidden.

Question though... ipod keeps charging even when the car is switched off? Do you guys have the same thing? Unlikely to flatten the car battery i would have thought but still would rather not have it charging at all unless the car is on.

26-03-2013, 10:31 AM
I can confirm this works 100%. If you know where all the clips are it's easy as chips, a little harder if you don't. Sound quality and everything is fine, I've been using for last month and a bit now.

Thanks for sharing this!

i just installed mine today

has anyone noticed that it still charges an iPod or displays a message (this is not compatible with your device) when the car has been switched off with no accessories running.

will this run the battery dead if left unattended for a period of time if left plugged in (ipod/iphone).

when the key ignition is put into accessories (cd player/stereo on) or with the motor running, all is working well with no problem with either ipod or iPhone.

this is just a general concern to find out if my car battery will be flat when i have to leave for work, or be stranded away from home.
appreciate any feedback.

It arrived on monday, waited about 10 days. installed it in yesterday arvo.
I took my time installing it and it took under an hour, I left the unit in the glove box and ran the cable over through the gap.
Best $60 spent on the car. Works great! No hiss or anything and the quality is great... but that depends on your mp3 quality. AUX cable you have to take out the usb to play from AUX or it will continue to play from the usb. CD/AUX button.... press it to change from CD to CD-C.

My passenger heated seats... the light in the button doesn't work anymore..... not the orange indicator to say its hi or low but the glow light....can it be fixed? :(

Also on usb... I copied music using windows.... works fine.... went home copied more music onto the usb but using my mac.... plug into the car.... it only read the files i copied from my mac and skipped the other files..... played every 2nd track in that folder that had files copied from 2 OS. other folders that had files copied from mac only worked as normal.

hope that helps.
