Hey guys, to all the pros out there, i have a question to ask. I have a Civic EK model with B18Cr motor in it. I did a compression test last week just find out the health of my motor and i've got an average of about 175-180 psi on all pistons. All i know is that, all pistons should have roughly the same reading and thats what i've got but the thinh is that i dunno the readings i have is good or bad. Because 180psi is pretty high compression isnt it. Anyway, let me know your comments on this.
Thanks

It is more important to have consistant numbers in all 4 cylinders than what the actual numbers are on the compression tester.

Thanks for your opinion. Yup, i know that it's important to have consistent compression on all the cylinders and thats what i've got. But i m sure that there should be a region where the compression of the B18cr motor should fall. It shouldnt be too low or too high rite.
The thing is that i m thinking of getting a thinner metal head gasket for the car therefore the compression would increase again but i m afraid that it may not take it since i usually rev it till about 9krpm.
