hey guys,

i only received one remote for an aftermarket alarm system, is there any places which would be able to provide a replacement as opposed to being ripped by the dealer or have the whole unit replaced.

What brand is it? that'd probably help..

But my uneducated guess is no.. not without the replacement being cheap crap or not worth it... I don't see why getting one from the dealer is a rip off... odds are you'd get charged an arm and a leg for coding or whatever the new alarm remote anyway... /uneducated guess

If its aftermarket why do you need to go to the dealer?

Yes the brand would help

it's a motor 1 group one apparently, i'm not too sure why the car never came with a factory optioned one...

the dealer installed it, (bought the car 2nd hand, still have all the paperwork) might have been higher profit margins to use this particular brand i guess.

those mr minute stalls at supermarkets\shopping centers that cut keys do have remote programing services. If its doesnt work, you can get your money back.
