Hell no.

Keep your 2.5"

Why would you want to downgrade and make less power?

its feels abit slow cause before it had a 2.25 exhaust and was tuned.. does this mean i need a re-tune ?

prob placebo

what else is done to the car?

might not be worthwhile to do a tune just yet unless your not planning to do any further modifcations

I'm planning to tune it after I get a itb? You reckon its worth it

It's my car but I like advice =] how come you don't reckon it worth it ? What you reckon I should do before I go for a retune right now all I got is a mugen air box mugen headers and 2.5 vision exhaust all the way and high flow cat

What computer are you running?

If you're running a Apexi VAFC or Neo, you won't be able to tune for itb's

don't downgrade to 2.25

wait until you have all the shit that you want and on your car THEN get it tuned.

i just dont think the money spent on ITBs vs the power gained is worth it
but it does sound fcukn insane lol

if your set in ITBs just get them and then tune the beast!

itll be a waste to tune then get ITBs cos you have to tune again

some nice parts already, if you wanna go faster its ganna get very expensive for the money you put in.

next step would be cams + valve train upgrade and a 4.9 fd.

wait i just realised its not a c7. do you sill have the standard intake mani and throttle body?

what about your gearbox?

don't bother with itb's

so expensive

so little return unless you have at least cams plus head work ( ideally you'd want a higher cr as well)

upgrade IM and TB, cam it and retune

probably similar price to itb's but you'll see better gains (on your setup at least).

should see 130-140 atw.

top it off with a 4.9fd and you should have a nice b series setup.

Put a B20 block in, you'll notice the power then, or stroke your current one to 2L+

According to Adrian ITB's are best used in conjunction with good cams + higher comp.

Otherwise if money isn't your problem then do some head work. Cam shafts/gears, springs/retainers, port work, shave the head a bit to ^ comp.

BAHAHAHA funniest way I have ever heard a K series being described.

Back on topic tho. My B18C2 has 4-2-1 headers with stock intake manifold & throttle body, with a 2.25in exhaust and runs quite well. If you already have a 2.5in, don't bother downsizing, as others have mentioned, if you are going to be opening up the engine and letting it breath better, the 2.5in will net higher power gains

No I mean it's fugly like that girl who got asked to dance last of the lot. I mean I don't like the H-series either but they're on par with K's IMO. B's and D's just so sexy.

On the other hand if he goes K-series 2.5" exhaust would be the smallest he'd want, so atm it's probably the best option for him. Biggest sensible for B, smallest sensible for K. That's why I love a 2.5" (exhaust) :)
