I have the inside of my car mostly stripped at the moment.. Just wondering what I should / shouldnt use to wipe it down. Considering just a wet rag.. I did a search and found that degreaser is ok for the engine bay. I guess my main concern is rust, right?

Below is a pic of how it is now.. wet rag & some AJAX, would that be ok? Or should i get some special kind of spray?

P.S. I'm a total noob about these things, I always focused on computers more than cars.. haha

fill up a bucket with water and car wash detergent, use one rag to clean it all up and use another rag to dry it. no need to worry about rust.

Im assuming you just want to clean it, then youll be putting carpet back down?

wont be putting back the old carpet.

cant find anywhere that has a molded EK carpet either.. so going to have to get a custom trim thing done

plan to clean it, put down some hoodies or something on the floor.. paint drop mat & car mat, until it gets a major service. then the mechanics can "hear" the whole car

looks like the place i know also only does up to 1995 http://www.trufitcarpets.com.au/

Your best bet would be to get it of a car at the wreckers or maybe someone parting one out here.

There are plenty of clean EK's going around so it shouldnt be hard. Even if it is abit dirty get some laundry detergent happening and hose it down with a high pressure washer should come out like new.
