if thats the case I have one! lol. but people also say that limited edition came with the addiontial side skirts with the triangle bit at the end and the rear lip adons.
here is what i found on the net about ltd edition models.
Honda Australia will launch special editions of the Civic CXi, Integra Type R and Accord as part of Honda Indy 300 tenth anniversary celebrations on September 1.
Honda is offering Howe leather trim at no extra cost on the Accord Sport. Available on the Accord VTi-L and V6, the deal – valued at $4000 – also includes free Honda VTEC golf clubs. Accord Sport prices begin at $35,750 for the Accord VTi-L, and the deal runs until November 30 or while stocks last.
The value-packed Integra Type R Limited Edition, retailing at $39,990, has bonus free air-conditioning and racing-style alloy pedals, valued at $2500.
Priced at $20,690, the Limited Edition Civic Sport comes with extra features worth $2000, including alloy wheels, rear spoiler and gold badging.

Mines a limited edition but i dont have the side skirts (like 98 models).
Basically - yellow with yellow recaros.... black with red recaros...
There's some talk of the intake cam using the CTR intake which is slighty more aggressive ... but other than that... its just a later model R.
Limited edition came out with the 01-XXX
Also the black is not called starlight black... but nighthawk black.

Thought dc2r don't come standard with sunroof?? cause when honda built the dc2r they wants a light wieght car, so therefore they didnt have sunroof, unless the owner him/she put one in themself

all i know is that the limited edition came with side skirts and rear pods like what faijai said. sunroof is not standard on ITR and was a factory option to be done by one of the contracted sunroof installers over here in oz. my 99' itr had all of these options but was not a limited edition so i guess u can get these limited edition parts for ur car from honda.

i thought black w/ red recaros was jus an option.. and the 01-XXX is jus the model number in the production line in that year isnt it?... unless mine is special ed..? haha doubt it
Hey guys... a few things to clear up...
I don't have a Limited Edition DC2R but I do have a fully optioned one...
- 01-XXX is just the number for 2001 model DC2R's and does not mean ltd ed.
- Yellow recaros came in ALL yellow 2001 DC2R's and does not mean ltd ed.
- Sideskirts and rear skirts some ppl are mentioning is "optional" and does not mean ltd ed. (I have these optional OEM skirts on my car)
- Sunroof does not mean ltd ed. It is factory dealer option.
I'm pretty sure the only differences between "Limited Edition" and "Standard" is that you get some of those optional items for free for the same price as standard. So things like the pedals and other things. They were available to buy only for a few months, I think at the end of 2000. There are no mechanical differences, only cosmetic ones... I hope this clears things up. :D
