if it has rego in nsw and engine and vin match the rta database (engine is registered to vin)

then all is needed is proof of purchase and rwc when going to vicroads

and money to pay for a years rego, new plate and stamp duty

thanks henry! =D

so the engine is registered to the chasis via rta, not engineered. still good to rego it in vic?

as long as the engine is registered to the vin, then vicroads couldn't care less. they only worry when all the numbers don't match up so make sure all the numbers are there on the proof of purchase (engine number, vin number, etc.). if its all there, you're good to go.

make sure you also physically check the numbers yourself so it matches, not by word of mouth from the seller
