Hi guys, just got my Car last week its a 97 ek4... I've got a problem as I've noticed oil leaking whenever i hit vtec (as in after the drive a bit of oil has leaked) if i drive normally no oil is leaked out.. from what I've read it might be one of the seals to do with the camshaft or vtec solenoid as the oil slowly comes out from that area... i can't take a picture right now as im at work but i will once i get home. if anyone has any advice on what or where to get this fixed it would be greatly appreciated. also a rough estimation on cost?

Thanks.

Vtec solenoid gasket seal, or dizzy seal, or cam shaft seals. just guessing.
But if u are saying only when hitting vtec, so probably it's vtec solenoid seals

If you DIY and buy gaskets yourself it shouldn't cost too much. I personally wouldn't really pay anyone. Millions of DIY's written on this depending what gasket is leaking.

Dizzy seals is the most common one and i haven't got around to fixxing my own one.
Maybe when your free just wipe down the oil and let the car run a bit, rev it up a bit so oil pressue is higher so you can locate where its leaking.
