Hey guys, this morning i went to start my car and for some odd reason it doesnt want to start.

All electrics seem to be working fine. cd player, lights etc etc
When i turn the key makes a kind of buzzing noise ???

Does anyone have any idea on what might be the problem??
Starter motor? Alternator ??

Thanks in advance for any advice.;)

Search, plenty of threads about this.

Gotta diagnose it first before you can get answers, it could be anything.

First thing to do is check for spark.

Service was done about a month ago with sparks included.
Nope doesn't kick over whatsoever just makes some weird buzzing noise.

My dc2r did the same thing was acting funny making buzzing noises and all weird things, similar to what your saying. ended up being battery fault, dropped a cell or something. Replaced battery and works fine

do you have an aftermarket immobilizer?
cos same thing happened to me b/c immobilizer was playing up and the buzzing noise come from the immobilizer/alarm module

and where is the noise coming from exactly

any clicking noise ? get a small hammer and tap the side of the started motor a few time and try cranking again.

if that dont work get ya battery checked and the alternator also.

does it just make a clicking noise when you turn the key?

are the lights dim or clock ?

might be a dead battery?

Try jumpstarters? If successful, remove battery cable while car is on and see if car dies. If so, the alternator may be dead.

just a thought, could be a weird grounding problem

try to get a 8ga ground from the start housing to the chassis and see if it kicks over
I had an odd experience before, the motor wasn't grounding properly(the gearbox housing anyway) and it'd only buzz and short somewhere
threw on a spare piece of 4ga wire and crimped the ends, bolted one end to the starter and one end to the chassis and it's worked flawlessly

Always a good idea to check/clean your grounds as engine maintenance. Just unbolt them and sand them a bit.
