This.
Been taking my car to Essendon Fields Honda to get all my servicing done and surprisingly prices aren't that expensive considering it's a dealer but that's my experience anyway.
Got a very good relationship with them.

Honda Essendon wanted to charge me ~$300 to adjust my valve clearances. They also have no idea what an EP3 is... Even after I gave them my VIN#.

hmmm i wonder if the mechanic would charge me for a compression test and leak down?... anyone knows?

not many would work for free

would you?

It depends on if that is all you want.

If a compression & leak down test leads to a head gasket or some other repair that you want to go thru with, most of the time you will not get charged for the test, as they get absorbed into the repair charges

huh?

highly unlikely for you to snap off head bolt.
or did you mean valve cover bolts? if it was valve cover bolts replacement for $180
then welcome abourd ripped off city.

It had to be tapped out and removed from the block, Id say that was fairly reasonable for the work involved, maybe too baller for you though....

so its really the head bolts? not valve cover bolts?
how did you drive the car there? tow it down?

180 is cheap if it was headbolt

Vale cover bolts, but it was messed up bad, so considering that anyone else wanted $250 it was pretty well priced

i cant afford that much so i would just buy a tap for $30, new bolt from honda $10 and DIY it.
