hey guys,

recently built my kswap, having troubles with my power steering.I used the k20 oem high pressure line( which is currently leaking). It was first had a slow leak from the HPL as it connected to the PS rack,I tightened the clamp on the end and it seemed to be fine for a week or 2(no leaks).. just recently its somehow sprung another leak towards the middle of the hose and it has covered my engine bay in a film of oil.. :\. So im thinking it could be that the line just has to much pressure in it???, causing it to have so many leaks. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem?

thanks.

Did you get NEW Custom Pressure hoses made up with AN/Banjo fittings as per OEM spec?

or did you just cut off the OEM hoses and used hose clamps to lock it in?

if u just retro fit it, then thats your issue - you suppose to get new custom hoses/fittings made up as they are high pressured hoses.

Hose clamps wont hold the pressure and will cause leaks etc.

im pretty sure its a used oem line, no cutting.

Rob,

your just unlucky with the OEM High pressure hose. They are common to fail. Hit up pirtek with the right length and fitting and they can make one up for you
