Hey I've recently noticed a flashing light near the drivers footwell area, hidden above the foot pedals and i noticed its always blinking, even when i lock the doors. I don't think it's an alarm light as i had a '07 hybrid civic which alarm light was on the dash. This '10 FD however flashes a whiteish light and there is no light on the dash even when i lock the doors. Should i be worried about this or is this the new alarm light? =\

It may be an anti corrsion module (if it is not an alarm or some other device).
I have one under the bonnet of my car- these blink continuously and are supposed to polarise the metal to reduce the rate of oxidation. So it may be one of these.

I honestly don't know if or how well they work. Mine was installed prioir to purchase.

hmm yeh i know what your talking about john but i dno...this blinks a whitish light. Its like right above the break pedal. It's not bright tho. The other thing that puzzles me is where is my immobiliser light =\ Isn't it spose to be on the panel next to the indicator light?

If it is not an anti corrosion module then I don't know what else it might be.
The immobiliser light should show on the left side of the tachometer when it receives an invalid id from the car key unless I'm mistaken.

Perhaps a Honda dealer - servicing - can explain the mysterious blinky light.

Anti Corrosion Modules are generally in the engine bay area - as this is where most of the heat vs moist is generated. and they are normally mounted to the chassis directly.

The blinking/flashing light your seeing could possibly be part of the alarm which is a "Dual Zone Shock Sensor module".

this will flash armed or disarmed as long as it senses movement within or outside the vehicle.

so when your driving - (Alarm DISARMED) the module is still active and will flash - but is not ARMED.

pretty much the light will flash when ever it feels like as depending on the features of the alarm and settings - they have self testing settings as well to ensure that the gravity sensor is working.

dont worry about it too much - worry about the thieves who will try to steal your car instead.
