I'm getting really loud slapping noise while driving from my right front tyre and it feels like I'm constantly driving over small bumps . Does that mean my cv are out. I'll admit I chucked a bit of a burnt out before

Sorry about my quality control. It was the tyre strip after all. Somehow a nail got into the left tyre and its stuck inside and I think that's what causing the bumpy ride. My luck

Would the nail in the tread of the left tyre or the stripped inner thread of the right tyre possibly cause the bumpy ride at low speeds ( ie 40-50 km and under) . It dissapears at higher speeds

As in how much more can you ask, you have a puncture before you move on to making the problem bigger why don't you get the puncture repaired and then see if the problem still exists. Tis called troubleshooting.

instead of getting the puncture repaired, i reckon i should just get two new tyres, cause both tyres are low on tread anyway and their both cheap unmatching tyres

FYI - cv joints make a knocking noise when moving at full lock... not a slap

OK yeah I'm getting a clicking locking noise from my right wheel at full left turn lock
aurnob88
26-02-2012, 09:46 PM
actually found out the clicking was coming from a sagging guard protector. Cv's are fine cause no noise at full lock

yeah, guess i overreacted quite a bit. i have realised now that its prob not cv joints, i inspected them and seem fine. im not sure but something in the suspension isnt 100%, i will only be able to give full judgement after changing the left tyre and full balance/allign
