OK so i know its a straight forward swap.
but i just want to know what else if anything i need to transfer along with the Dohc motor.

a bit of background info:

I had a 92' Si civic sedan the was written off, rear impact.
i now have a 94' Gli hatch (a bit sluggish).

so basically i have everthing to swap the motors. i know you will most likely say get a B16/18 etc.

but money is tight and the Si will be sent to the scrap yard very soon so i thought why not.

any info would be great.

it's straight swap mate. Do it, D16a8 got some power even it's not vtec engine. It would not take you long to do it.

Dont forget to swap your cluster around.

this way the motor will be in line with the correct RPM / REV Limits compared to the Gli cluster.

Nah fcuk that.

Its awesome when you can rev off the clock.

I had a corolla with a 20v blacktop.

That thing revved to 8.5k and clock only went to 8 lol

Owning all the D series motors that were delivered to aus, in all srs d15b7 was the most responsive/revvy motor I had driven.

Hshahahaha...

**** dat shit!! Lol

why fcuk that shit? revving above cluster rev limit ain't gonna do anything to anything. probably would do something to your anoose.

Use the Si gearbox as well, as the ratio's are better.

As for the d15b7 being better than the d16a8, you must have had a junk d16a8...
Both the d16a8's I've driven have been far better than the d15b7 I test drove.
