Hi,

As title, does anyone have a drill bit sized to drill out a hole for a -10AN sized fitting?

In VIC.

Can't justify paying $$$ for something only using once.

Cheers!

I imagine the _ was put by accident.. the numbers without it = 10 in total.. and that's how many a mobile has.. meh

That's what they call it! Yes, I need a step drill bit for roughly that size..

you got a tap?

Yeh drilling a hole, nope don't have a tap - only tool i have is the conventional power drill.. I think I might go have a look at some hardware stores for hole saws, might get luckier there I guess.. They should be okay enough to cut a hole in the oil pan.

But if anyone has one, or has done it before - I wouldn't mind paying you a bit of mulah

Cheers

holesaw? what are you drilling? lol I dungedit.

a hole to route a 10an sized hose or a hole to thread in 10an fitting

oh oil pan. I think you might need to weld a bung or a nut. don't think you can tap it. too thin most likely.

b series?

The hole to thread the 10an fitting! So, it seems that it's not just drilling a hole that is slightly smaller than the actual thread of the fitting and then working it in? It will be sealed and welded anyway - so I thought a Hole is sufficient.

I'm drilling a hole in the oil pan to fit the fitting in order to feed my oil return line. Yes, I'm turbo charging my car.

what fitting is it? if you're gonna weld the fitting itself to oil pan then it needs to be steel or ss fitting.

zhong

Yeh the fitting is steel so welding is not a problem - I just measured it again.. 21mm is the thread size, I guess -10AN is the inner diameter of the flow capacity of the fitting.

Who the hell has a 21mm drill bit that is willing to lend it to me for 15 minutes. I swear I'll do it at your place or in the car.. lol

no I don't have a drill that big. I got a welder though.

try use smaller drills and drill a circle mun. then use a filer

You'll need a decent Bi-Metal Hole Saw and they're not cheap.

No you dont use a hole saw.Use a unibit/stepdrill
