I've been looking around for a aluminium pipe 3" in diameter for my pod filter which I'm going to put on my 97 ek. Liek this
http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/5626/pipeq.jpg
I've gone to my local supershit auto and auto one (tried two different branches and no luck finding it)
I live in meadow heights melbourne 3048 (the closer the better)

I did manage to find this
http://www.accessoriesonline.com.au/shop/product.php?productid=17085
But can't be bothered waiting for shipping.

So does anyone know where to get one of these pipes from
(would repco or autobahn have them?)
Any help will be dearly appreciated.
(p.s also went to bunning and looked @ the pvc piping, none of them fit)

Yes Repco and Autobarnz both sell them

Personally I would get off ebay for cheaper but either way :)

Try Repco first,I think they were cheaper for that kinda piping from memory

most things are generally cheaper @ repco anyway in my opinion.

I've always found those at SCA, Repco and Autobahn. But just eBay a full CAI IMO an get a good pod filter. Cheaper

All those shops normally sell them, with the pods and silicone hose/clamps etc. In that section. Not cheap though so just eBay it

Aluminium pipes are very much related to Ek's

bought this 3" plastic pipe with a chrome finish from repco today.
Shitty pipe and pod filter cost more than a kit off ebay.

cant really hear much of the pod's noise till i hit around 4k rpm
and here is what it looks like nao

You'll get heaps better induction "sound" if you got a pipe that went directly from your throttle body - roughly around $45 for the full intake pipe/bracket/pod/clamp/hose joiners. It's shiny too.

www.ebay.com

Peace.

Filter will be crap also. Get a Fujita or 3A Racing IMO.

But at the end of the day it's a D-series. When I was a noob I thought my D16Y1 would sound similar to my B16A when I put a pod on it. How wrong/disappointed I was. D = sounds weak.

My D screams! haha sounds fully hectic VTEC kicking in, just doesn't go anywhere! Nah but really, it doesn't sound all too bad for a cheapy "mod".

Yeh pod filters are just generic items to me now to be honest, but I have seen flow tests between branded and 3A - 3A was the most flowing!

I guess you get lucky with ebay I guess.

Peace.

Who gives a shit about flow.. It's going on a stock grocery getter for God's sake.

Just remove your resonator for free and you will get a similiar sound without factoring in a defect.

Waste of time and money.

So true. Enclosed properly too.

And lol @ D's screaming. Get in a b16a with some cams if you wanna hear a good pop.

They're like $2-3 at Bursons anyway.

More expensive at SCA etc.
