Just thought i'd say G'day. I'm new to forums, it's a good setup. Onto the reason why i'm posting.

Just been doing some info searching on the good old 2nd gen crx, and came across the cable or hydro clutch dilemma. The main thing I don't actually understand is the difference between the two. Is one better than the other?? What are the pro's and con's to each type?

not so much better as more compatable. although the fact that they used to hydro on all the newer models says something.

if you do an engine swap in the future and you have a cable actuated clutch you have to do alot more work.

2ds, Do you know of where it explains what each is and is compared against each other??

I understand that the hydro clutch is better, but would just like to understand each a little better.

meh - much of a muchness. The only real con of a cable clutch is if the cable snaps- which it can if you put a really heavy pressure plate on.

If you are going a B series upgrade, you just get the gen 1 B16A Y1 or S1 cable clutch... problem solved :)
