Hi guys, Ive recently taken my mums car to the panel beater to get the door fixed. When we checked the car today cause it was finished, the interior door panel has 2 holes in them and they are denying that they caused the damaged when i specifically remembered there wast any holes there. What should I do?

unless you're absolutely sure of it, don't pay and whinge about ti until they either replace the door trim at their cost or offer you a lower price.

where are the holes?

Okay so lets say if they refuse to charge me at a cheaper price or replace my door panel. What should I do? Do i contact Consumer Affair Victoria or do I sue them or what?

But im just thinking what if i refuse to pay and stuff and they end up keeping my car and abusing and damaging the car. Then what can I do?

If you're not happy with the respray, make them do it again.

If they don't want to, go all ACA on their ass.

Lol...

Don't pay, go in get your keys and walk out.. If they put up a fight, knock em out hahaha

If that doesn't work, then I guess you could go the legit way

I would like to add that consumer affairs will do jack all...

At the end they'll just ask if you want to sue them through Magistrates Court which will cost you an arm & a leg.

Similiar situation happened when my cousin got her Euro's door resprayed.

Turned out shit with overspray and dry spots.

I took the car back to the work shop, pointed out the flaws, told them that I've been in the spraying industry for over a decade (lul I don't even look that old) and they apologised and the boss told off the apprentice that worked on it and re-did it.

Turned out perfect.

Told them that I would report them to the insurance company if they didn't abide by the request.

take photos and go to department of fair trading and tell them wat has happend or dunt pay them untill they've done a better job.
you would rather go to someone that takes pride in their job and does a good job rather than some one who takes 5 minutes and make it worse
theres too many dodgy mechanincs and stuff now a days..

wasthe repair conducted through your insurance company? if so go through them... if not, then tell them you wont be paying for the work as its not up to the standard and that the door trim is not as it was when you left it with then...

consumer affairs is your next step if they dont want to work with you... in the meantime if you dont pay they have the right to keep the car
