hi everyone, recently i got the setup for my DC with skunk2 sport shock+ TEIN 8.5kg/mm springs (Gold one)

once i got the setup it is so~~~~bumpy and my fd told me it need some time to "run-in" therefore i keep this setting for last 6 month. it feel a bit softer now but it is not comfort at all. i like the soild feel like this setting but i want something can be not that bumpy. but not sure should i replace the shock or the springs?

8.5kg is nothing man. Are you a fussy person with driving comfort?

Seems like a pretty good setup for the street IMO .

is that a coilover spring ?

Most shock relplacements run/are valved to something in the OEM - double OEM range , that is 2.5kg/mm-5kg/mm , and often are progressive. Id consider getting some eibach sportlines for your shocks , these are generally 20-25% stiffer than standard springs and lower about 1.8 inch

its your shocks

even with 8kg/12kg my coilovers are very comfy on there softest damper settings.

i just sat in my fd's eg with same setting i think it is pretty good too, even EG is lighter and it should be stiffer but i feel it still comfort and great

but it is totally different feeling with the same setting on my teg, mine is like the steel stick. that's why i start this thread.

Are the shocks new or second hand? The shocks could be seizing making it so firm...

Remove them and inspect for issues. Also check that there is enough stroke in the shock at ride height.

TBH a good/well-built shock should feel quite comfortable, even with an 8kg spring.

My Bilsteins are 8kg/6kg, in both my cars, and feel beautiful. No damper adjustment.

I suggest either get used to it or invest in a top quality shock if you can't stand it. Obviously I recommend Bilstein if you can get them. Otherwise if you JUST want reduced body roll I'd run lowering springs with a good subframe brace + larger rear sway bar. Reduces body roll but not too stiff over bumps. Otherwise yeah, just harden up a bit you'll get used to it man.
