Is there a particular reason as to why you want to rebuild your engine? eg: excessive oil consumption, possibility of a blown head gasket or cracked sleeve etc.
If there is nothing wrong, don't fix it. Before modifying your engine you need to sit down and think about what exactly you want from it and your car:
- are you chasing maximum kilowatts or are you after a responsive, usable power out put?
- do you want to stay n/a or go f/i?
- is it a street, track or drag car?
- how often does it get driven?
Once you have worked these things out, then it will be best to sit down and work out which way you need to go and modify accordingly.
There is no point throwing money at something that is not broken and, when it comes to mods, you don't know what you are going to achieve from it.
As for Honda specialists in Syd, there is BYP, Toda AU and a few other workshops around.
