Hi All,

I have a 2000 DC2R and find that I have an ongoing issue with the parker lights.

Only on the passenger side too, but I replaced the globes with hi intensity LED units from one of the traders here. The passenger side keeps blowing, which I cant understand as I never had any issues when i was running standard globes.

If I replace it with exactly the same type and brand (i got a number of spares) it worls for a few weeks then drops to maybe half brightness, then dies altogether.

Any ideas? am thinking I might have to trace the loom back somewhere?

Cheers
Chris

Check for bad ground connection to that headlight. Also check the fuse, it should be a 10amp i think. Can you try an OEM globe and see if that blow? This thread may help you too, check it out:

What brand of globe?

I put LED's in my EG sedan which were nice and bright, but the exact same thing happened to me. Goes very dim, then dies altogether. I believe the resistor in them was sh!t.

Bought some different globes (3A Racing) and have had no issues since (3 years and counting).

Hey All, will need to check the brands, was thinking to dissect one to see what the problem is, and no, haven't tested the cars voltage whilst running, so this gives me a few things to chase :) but I also run them in the number plate lights and have no issue with any failing, just always on the one side of the car.

Car voltage at idle is 14.2V
Does anyone have a diagram of the wiring for the parkers? I would have thought +ve is from a fuse, and -ve is from switch.
