I'm going to attempt to resurrect an Integra 96 vtiR after it has been sitting stationary on the road under a cover for approx two years. Does anyone think the engine would be too far damaged or neglected or any other common major problems.

Thanks

sorry about that, the integra ran out of rego and finally it had a battery problem which was the final reason it was left idle. It didnt have any gearbox or engine problems prior to the expired rego and the battery issue. was hoping i could get some info on what, if anything can happen to an integra's engine or gear box or any other component after sitting for so long under a cover, thanks.

same as what can happen to any motor sitting for that long.

Condensation gets into the cylinders through the inlet and exhaust, and rusts everything inside.

Best bet would be pulling the head off to see the condition.

Recommend changing all the spark plugs, gaskets, seals just to be safe.

Fresh shot of oil, and after all that it still is focked, engine swap to k24.

Take the plugs out, spray a good amount of CRC or WD40 into the plug holes. Connect a battery and see if it spins over (leave plugs out, cover with a rag). Plugs back in, see if it will start.
