Hey guys.

heres some picks so you can direct toward the position of the most suitable hole.

After some googling it seems the main wire harness runs through the rubber plughole on passenger side of firewall so look on that side

I cant find a pic sorry

Oh i know what guage is.
Just when he said zero gauge thought he was referring to a wire which runs a gauge or measurement device.
Not a wire of zero gauge

Fyi its not meant to be called zero gauge, its 1 aught, once you go above 1 gauge you drop the gauge and use aught, ie the number of zeros are the numbers of aughts.

Thought i was being helpful, drifter and i have been talking him through installing his stereo install so im giving him relevant info, most people call "1 aught" "0 gauge" so i thought id let him know as he seems to be learning, doesnt really matter just thought it might interest him to know the proper old school terms. my bad.

No worries, its good to get in the practice of giving out rep even when your 1 block and quite often when you rep somome they rep you back if your posting up helpful info.

Good grief!! Those guages for wire and metal sheet all should have been binned in the late 1960's when everything (including wire measurement) went metric. The only ones using that now are the yanks.

Still used in car audio to rate how thick the wire is. i dont mind using it but i guess im used to it.

How odd that that measurement standard should stiil be used in that industry when if you go to buy wiring for a house it's all in metric sizes. Like I said , I haven't seen one of those guages for years and even when I worked as a sheetmetal worker, you hardly used them even then 'cause you learned to tell metal thickness by how it felt in your hand.

Ive never used one of those round gauges myself can usually just tell by looking at the copper and awg is sometimes written on the side of the cable if its for speaker wire(think ive seen it on amp power cables too).

ouch

the larger brands usually have it printed on their cable. but then you gotta look at how much copper is actually in the wire. anywho, we found the hole didnt we? DONE DEAL.

...and OP where did you ground your amp?

how did you get the wire through the gromet?
I found the gromet under the glove box and behind a fan thing. And i have tried to sneak a wire in but no go, no matter from which direction. Need a small whole on the gromet before hand?
