Hi all,
I am going to change the rocker cover of my b18c. I got the new oem seal, do i need to use silicon glue as well?
Thanks

Some gasket goo is helpful, but not usually required on rocker cover gaskets.

Normally I use it when re-using an old one but for a new one you should be fine. However if you want to use it just put a bit down in the curved/rounded sections around the cams etc, the long/straight parts are normally fine.
And of course torque it to spec.

Check your O rings while the cover is off aswell, they tend to become brittle and start leaking oil into the plug holes.

if BNIB gaskets, put sealant as per TbM's diagram.
just a touch, no more.

Dont forget to put the 4 O ring seals in,or once you screw it on and start engine, oil gonna piss out

also just give the area that the rocker cover and head meet a good clean before removing to prevent any debris getting into the top of the head when you take the cover off.
