trace wires from injectors back to metal thing with heatsinks

if it's ****ed, it's fcuked. check for loose wiring...

Wrong.

Always possible oil has leaked into the cavity. Fast onset of symptoms. Water will do the same thing.

Need to be checked, can't rule them out without seeing them.

ok, thanks for the prompts, i'll do the heatsink wiring check etc tomorrow..............when you say oil has leaked into the cavity. Fast onset of symptoms. Water will do the same thing.
what cavity do you mean, in the distributor maybe??

Spark plug cavity. Remove your leads and have a look inside. Remove any oil or water (if present) before removing the plugs.

Best thing to do is get an air compressor, wrap the end in a towel, and shoot air into the cavity so it splashes up into the towel.

pulled the leads, tested the plugs, tested the resistance of the leads, no water or oil visible in plug cavity, checked all plugs and wiring going to dizzy..........buggered if i can find anything wrong, so i've pulled the distributor off for testing tomorrow...........I guess the ecu is all thats left after that.............thanks for your input
