How hard would it be to put a pair of WRX seats into an EK Hatch?

i've found a pair at a price almost too good to give up!

It would be very hard as a DIY

Or pay someone $400+ custom job and the seats will say STI depending on which version

Yes, unless you have fabrication skills and the means to do so its not a simple bolt in excercise.

You may be able to find some universal seat rails that may make it easier and shortcut some fabrication...

lol don't get them. i got swift gti seats for free and upon inspection realised there was no way of getting them in without fabrication. owner doesn't want them back so they are just taking up space now.

Fabricating rails and getting them to fit to the seats...then the car...is a ****ing headache. I won't buy anything that's not plug and play now i.e. WRX seats in civics lol

why get new rails? just cut the mounting points off the wrx rails and fabricate from there.

that way you keep the sliders and just need to worry about mounting points which easy when you know what you are trying to do.

How is it a 2 minute job mr Bludger, I am unsure of how such a complicated task could take such a short period of time?

Please respond.

more like 2 hour job lol... and if u dont know how to weld, than its gonna cost a bit, and remember they only charge by the hourly rates so if its a 4 hour job, and average rate is 80 bucks, not that cheap after all...

Just get a ruler and a marker. From there it just takes a little common sense.
Instead of going to a welder to fabricate, u do all the work and tell him to weld these points for u. If you are in melbourne I will do it for u

I'd have to disagree in this case dude

He's entitled to use what he likes and lots of people happen to like the wrx seat design.

With a little bit of ingenuity most seats can be made to work in a custom setup.
You cant knock someone for wanting to follow through with their desired plans, just as anyone with their own car mods

I'm not knocking but just saying the recaro Sr3/4 would be way easier. But if a a wrx seat is what. He wants and not just because It's cheap or he has some laying around then he should do that

I like to think that i am a normal person thank you...

I like the way a wrx seat feels, ive found a good deal and the inserts are red which matches my car.
