Hi All,

Just want a few opinions on the Jtune extreme package found on www.jtune.com.au

Pro and cons and is it possible to get the dyno tested 160kw with their mods.

21399

21400

Thanks

I had everything besides the tune. It is a great starting platform and will not need to be upgraded for many mods besides.obviouslyturbo etc.

Great quality and I had it on for 2 years not one hiccup.

Just be mindful that result is on a hub dyno so figures are much higher then on most dynos.

Hows their exhuast system though? As in is it loud at idle? I'ld prefer one loud above 3k rpm.

Is still legal.

I like it as I like hearing engine noise intake and exhaust.

I loved the note

Isn't the 4-1 Jtune header designed to lose power down low to gain up top?!

Surely you could scarp together parts tht would match the extreme tune out put for less

that is true, more research will need to be done. however, surely buyin brand new parts will be more than the price that Jtune are offerin so im guessin we need to look for used??

That depends on what exactly is in the kit and how much exactly they try charge for it.

its a 4-2-1 header. making use of the long runners increases power across the board. it has a deep idle tone, but not loud if that makes sense.. It certainly raises a few eyebrows when you start it next to ppl.. I've had mine for a while now, and LOVE IT.. I had DC headers, and Apexi WSII and it sounded like a farting excel...

Their price doesn't include installation does it? Looking at the price of their Headers, it's similar to Toda, and the CAI is a bit more than Injen. Not sure how they compare though. Damn, which Marcus had done his header comparison already.

I highly doubt that Marcus would do either today or jtune doesn't stock either

If its similar to tOda I'd get toda over Jtune.
And have a look at the PLM k header (byp sells them here) cause thats a hytech design.

Yeah, I doubt it too. But what I meant was that he could prob get better/alternative units off the traders here, for similar price.

Still confused about which is better, PLM or tOda, but either way, we'll see gains. PLM is prob cheaper though.

Just from experiance with the jtune quality.

Even though most designs now are stainless its really the quality of the stainless thickness etc to get the quality.

I loved the jtune exhaust and will always be biased only due to the sound it provides and the quality it delivers.

I agree.. almost 2 years now, and i've never washed anything other then the tips, and she's still nice and shiny, all the way to the headers. REAL STAINLESS STEAL

Well, I'm guessing Jtune's ECU seems a lot better than Hondata or Greddy alternative, in that you guys don't seem to have mentioned any problems with it.

Jtune is Hondata

We both never got the flash so cannot comment on that. But as Freddy said it is hondata but flashpro works so do that.

if price doesnt include installation, how much we lookin at for installation??

marquee

If you diy which is quite easy then nothing but 500 for install probably

ChaosMaster
05-04-2012, 02:47 PM
I doubt many can DIY the header and exhuast system themselves. Getting it installed as a whole package maybe cheaper too.

DIY the header is impossible without anything to hoist the car up... Okay well not impossible but really effing hard...

Exhaust is easier and I DIYed anyway :)

Lol jackstands are more then suffice

I DIY'd my header with jackstands. Not easy but not impossible. Just wrap up your new header with rags so you don't scratch it and make sure you WD40 the header bolts and use a 6-point socket that is on the nut properly so that you don't end up rounding the threads.
