Hey guys,

I have been having some issues finding out where I need to mount a fire extinguisher so that I can enter a khanacross. Does it need to be in reach of the seated driver like in NZ or can it be in the boot somewhere?

any help would be appreciated.

Russ

should be mounted as far away from the driver as possible.

Seriously bro, having it in the boot, how is that gonna help you with an underdash fire, or what happens if theres a fire under the bonnet, but you gotta get out, run to the boot, grab the extinguisher, back to the front.

mount it infront of the passenger seat using the seat bolts.

I've got a strip of metal that uses the two front bolts of the passenger seat brackets to hold it in place, then I bolted the fire extinguisher bracket to that. got passed at a cams event and is easily accessible from drivers seat. and also the passenger seat can travel all the way forward without being affected.

The last time I mounted one I just drilled holes through the passenger floor and bolted it down. Did the trick even if it did punch through the carpet
