Its been awhile since the BYP team has taken a car to the drag strip, so we thought we bring Damien's K-powered EG civic to the drag strip.

The team didnt expect any flashy ET times or high MPH with the car still equipped with all its aerodynamic aids which will cause drag in drag racing terms.

The car was drag raced in Time Attack Trim :)

The car did a back to back run of 12.2 @ 114mph (2.0 60ft) for its two last runs. The BYP team was quiet pleased with it performance considering its not even prep for the drags. Damien civic has a BYP K20/K24 rebuilt using OEM parts making 178kw at the front wheels accompany with a GEAR-X Close ratio gearset

The team got some valuable data and information from Damien's EG. Lets just say the team can't wait to get the new project car underway!

Here are some pictures from the night -

Spotted this on the trailer heading into WSID as i was driving home the other night, looks cool!

The MPH is a good indicator of power, as you say the set-up isn't there for outright ETs but that is still a good yard stick for how strong the car is

Yes 2.0 60ft is pretty average. If we had the laptop on hand, we would of change the launch control to 5000rpms so it wont bog off the line. First gear was pretty long
