View Full Version : dc5r shakey speedo + rev meter

hey guys,

So just recently my speedometer has started shaking. Got the vss sensor cleaned with compressed air and brake cleaner. Now the rev meter is also playing up. Any cheap ideas or smaller variables I should look at before I get a new cluster?

Would it be the vss part thats in the gearbox? Its some sort of spindle gear thing I've been told.

You mean the needles shake or the while guage shakes?

I've been told by a mechanic its the cluster playing up.

It could be a possibility that when you cleaned the vss with compressed air that you have loosened something. I would do a voltage wave form inspection on an osciliscope of the vss and go from there
