hey guys,
Can anyone tell me how or why my boot is not sitting flush? I took it off once to sand it and when I put it back on I noticed it wasn't sitting right. Not sure if it was like that before.
The right hand is fine. it's the left side that seems like it doesnt go all the way in??. it's 1cm or so out.
Please help i'm starting to get annoyed..
Cheers

Adjust the boot again, and it should be alright.

Is it a genuine Honda trunk panel or aftermarket?

every door, boot, bonnet has rubber bump stops.
if it's not on the boot, check on the car, where the boot sits.

It kinda looks twisted coz from the pic,3 corners line up and one doesnt..
I would just see if theres any adjustment in the hinge mounting and if not then try to twist it so it lines up better.

Checked everywhere. All looks good
Bolts are tight. Rubber seals not in the way
Dunno what else it could be?

if it's twisted, put a wooden block on that bottom left corner, between the car and the boot.
thenmove halfway up the boot on the left side and push in, try to straighten it.

Looks like its just the top part not going all the way in

But driver side top seems pretty flush compared to passenger side

so it appears to be twisted or something is fouling it. The whole piece should be parallel

no, you should totally disregard my suggestion because you like misaligned boots.

mate.
just trying to help:)
if you boot if not fitting properly and there is nothing stopping it from sitting flush, then it's bent.
you need to unbend it.
regards
Sean:)
