Hey guys :)

Ive read threads and googled specifications of the vafc2 and couldn't find the specific information i needed.
I was just curious what information is the vafc2 capable of reading?
Would it be sufficient enough to be used as a replacement for hardware gauges (water temp, oil pressure, AFR ect) on say track days to monitor the engine?

Thanks for your time

Regards, Adrian

The Apexi vafc2 is more of a tuning tool which allows your to alter VTEC engagement points at different RPM ranges. If you want something that's all in one to moniter water temp, oil temp/pressure and AFR look at something like the DEFI advance ZD http://www.defi-shop.com/products/advance_zd/feature_zd/ or this http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?156783-Brockway-Engineering-digital-display-unit.

The VAFC2 does not show any of those readings which you listed. It shows throttle percentage and rpms. As above, it is mainly used to alter when VTEC kicks in.

Thanks for the prompt reply, i understand that the primary use for a vafc is for light tuning but it is also more in my price range as compared to the other two items you have listed. Though the products you suggested are really more suited to my needs, its just not in my price range as i was tossing up between purchasing 2-3 vital gauges or just a used vafc so i know when my car is on the borderline of chaos haha

Would you happen to know what parameters the vafc will measure by any chance?

I only use my AFC neo for throttle %, engine rpm as the tacho is not really accurate at high rpm, battery voltage and map sensor pressure

It doesn't give you much more info except fuel correction gauge and vtec monitoring.
It also tells you/flashes slightly when hi cam/vtec engages and what the default crossover rpm is.

Basically if you want, install afternarket oil pressure and water temp gauges.
