First time i really FELT vtec in my SOHC [Archive]

hey guys, didnt know what section thise should go in but yeh, move if u wish.
Last night driving in my '94 Vti SOHC VTEC i experienced the VTEC 'rush' for the first time. Was pretty good feeling. THe secret to 'feeling' the vtec kick in a SOHC is by turning on the aircon and loading up the car with 2-3 ppl. Usualy when u do this the car is an pretty sluggish (esp with aircon) but when u hit vtec you get jolted back into ur seat and it winds off to the revlimit like usual. Great feeling, very fun :)

IMO stock wheels (EK vtir for example) sprayed white/black look great....
stockies are prolly going to go faster than heavier chrome wheels too.....
also chromes very "played out" (to steal from American terminology) and 90's......

in reply to Weq's original post; cool dude! :P good to see u finally found a way to "feel" the VTEC kick in.... i think a fair few ppl have commented on the diff. between the b16a and b18c engines...... i really wouldnt know.... non VTEC GSi..... hehe :)

But yes...maybe you should try putting your stock wheels back on and see how much better your car is compared to your heavy non-real enkei copied chromies :D

ahhh, maybe that whats mising in da garage...the missing link - the ITR - damn shouldn't have let the buying opportunity slips a while back...have to learn be contented with da slow-go 1.6:)
