The Open Class and Clubsprint Class entries will open on Monday the 2nd April at midday.

If you are wondering why we are giving you such an exact time it is because last year the Open class sold out all entries in less than 3 hours and the Clubsprint class sold out within a day. We do not expect this year to be much different, however we will be doing things a little differently at our end to make it fairer for everyone.

Firstly we will be running a slightly smaller field in both classes to ensure that everyone gets a fairer go on the track with less congestion. This year the entries will be limited to:
24 Pro Cars, 48 Open Class Cars and 24 Clubsprint Class cars.
Once these spots are full any further entries will go onto a reserve list, which, due to the nature of time attack racing, will often get you into the field anyway.

Secondly we will be “reserving” ten positions in the Open Class and five positions in the Clubsprint Class for anyone that finished in the top ten in Open or top five in Clubsprint in 2011. We will also reserve another two positions in both classes for “exceptional performers” that missed the cut. As we are trying to put together THE FASTEST field possible, these positions will need to be validated with laptimes that would put them well into the top ten before they could be considered for these positions.

These positions will be held FOR SEVEN DAYS only before they will be opened up to the next person in line.

As we will have a large media contingent from all around the world, all vehicles must be deemed of an “international standard” in appearance or the promoter reserves the right to reject their entry. Remember, you are not just representing yourself or your workshop – you’re representing your country!

You will need to provide a current photo of the vehicle and/or a drawing of the intended livery with full payment before your entry will be accepted. An entry is not classified as “accepted” until payment is made in full.

The other big change this year is we have combined the “privateer” and “tuner” entry. Therefore every single entrant will now be entitled to at least one story on their car on www.worldtimeattack.com (http://clixtrac.com/goto/?43520) giving themselves and their sponsors exposure to hundreds of thousands of interested people both in Australia and worldwide.

The cost of the entries:
Clubsprint Class: $849
Open Class: $1199
Pro Class: $1299

Note: Pro Class entry is by invitation only. If you feel you have a car that can mix it with the fastest in the world and it meets our rulebook, please email nathan@superlap.com.au
