Fuel Usage

Just wondering how much KM's is everyone getting on a full tank from there Civic. I get about 400KM's and running on Optimax.

I'm currently on 350km and the needle is almost on empty, the light comes on every now and then.

I've read on the forums that people get 400+ with the vtir's. Do you think changing fuel filter/sparkies will do any help ?

450-470km with Civic Cxi automatic.

I use to get about 380-400 with old muffler(magnaflow) and now with a spoon i get more even though i use the gas more. Weird one there.

my maxxxx....from about $20 ( 20litres of premium) is about 300kms ( dead....as in totally run out of fuel lol) - this is aroudn the city too. A full tank woudl be pushing 500 i think. Not bad actually.

on the highway...even better....?

When you guys say "full", can you define it ? Does it mean fuel light constantly on ? Fuel light changes on/off ? Or needle on E according to Gauge ?

i judge "truly full " - when i drive the car to dead empty ( ie stalling because no fuel pressure !) THEN fill up to absolute top.

full tank gets me 500 easy, thats untill the light starts blinking and car wont start properly. On BP ultimate

about 400 on average, 450-500 if just hwy drivin i reckon. b16a2.

I think 400 is promising for me as the needle is almost on E and light is about to go on.....
only concern I have now is I can't fang it because when I do, the needle usually drops down 1/6 of the scale !! damn this jumpy gauge.

Serious, I'm lucky to get 380 out of the daily grind and best so far has been 425 on a good 80% hwy drive (Auto). Always run premium and fill to 2 clicks.

Coming from an excel where I was getting 600ish to a tank I was kinda disappointed :(

I reackon you guys are lucky.

I only get about 320km for a full tank of fuel on Vortex, i don't know why, but it seems me car is running really rich on vortex as compared to regular unleaded. And it seems my car doesn't have the 45litres its supposed to have, more like 35.

I have change my spark plugs and leads last week, but it still doesn't affect the amount of fuel i burn.

I get about 270-80 off ~30 litres, last tank I ran it down to 3 litres were left and only got 270, on Caltex Premuim I think...
