hey guys.me honda has been off the road for a couple of years now after the engine has blown up. it originally came out with the F22B engine but was replaced with a F20B engine a long time ago.
basically i am looking at getting another engine for a replacement.
i dont know about head exchanges .ie h22a head on the fb20 or anything o the such.
i know alot of people are gonna say the h22a engine straight up. but i want to go a little bit cheaper with a little more horse powers then standard.
option are ....
FB20 DOHC V-tec. out of a 97-98 model honda.not sure which though
H23A 92-95
H22A Black Top. Dont know the difference between the red and black
or F22B v-tec
i am looking for put new cams and crap like that.
any help would be great

Get a h22a! Don't even think about getting other engine! You won't be disappointed!

H23A is better, but they're alot harder to find and will cost you more.
H22A will do fine!

I just finished a H22A swap for a customer of mine into a CD5. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their CB/CD Accord. Great starting point if you wish to start chasing more power down the track.
If you are looking to a F/H frank motor, you will end up spending a lot of money for, in my opinion, not a lot of reward. Save the extra cash and drop in cams or a turbo onto the H22A and you will be right
