hey guys, just wanna know more about engine swap....hope u all can help me!!!!
Well, I have a EK4 (b16a), and i am about to put in the EK9 (b16b) engine and gearbox. Is this a direct bolt-on job??? and is the ek4 ECU harness same as the ek9??? if so, does it mean i just have to plug in the ek9 factory ECU or even an aftermarket one??? APPRECIATE FOR ALL THE HELP

the harness may be different, if they both have meeting connectors at the shock towers then you will be ok, but I think the EK9 may have one compleate loom from the ecu to the engine. not sure, if that is the case you will need to swap looms.

there are 2 different ek9? pre and post face-lift

if you are getting the post face-lift then prepare for some headaches in term of wiring, because the ecu is different (can't recall, but one is a 2 and the other a 2a) thats when swapping the loom is necessary

-> ecuman point you out in the right direction. :)
