curb rash repair...wheel newb

hey guys,

just acquired a set of new wheels and one of the polished lips has some gutter rash.

I was wondering if I go ahead and sand it down (progessively using finer papers) and remove the clear coat on the lip, will it be ok to just polish it with autosol afterwards?

or do I need to apply clear coat again.

you need to do the whole kit and Kaboodle

you can have someone do it for u, but unless they are backyard hacks, it will cost you about 100 per rim.
