Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone here has "DIYED" their honda badge.
Instead of going up to the honda dealer spending 70-80 bucks on a badge,
Cant you just go bunnings buy some gold paint and just spray it?
Has anyone done this before? Is there a DIY thread for this?
Cheers
Simon

I've searched in google for you and found a few threads....
However, I don't think a DIY is really necessary.
Take your badges off, give them a light sand, primer, and then paint
If you don't want to do that go to your local wrecker might find some there

u cant spray the paint on until you have to sand it then spray, i could be wrong. Previous owner of my car sprayed my honda badges matte black. The paint was peeling I sanded mine back and painted it matte black again, havent had any issues with peeling. buy some badges off Ebay and test it out before u try on ur badges.
Or alternatively you could buy some off ebay

Just diy it, like others have said imo, waste of money on badges...dunno why ppl spend heaps on a H badge lol
I jus sanded back the chrome on the H-badge an sprayed black onto it, no prime hahahaha, so far so good.

is there even gold dip?No, that's what importers charge. It's $5 a can in the U.S., because that's all it's worth.
And no, there isn't gold Plastidip. He was suggesting using it as a primer of sorts, and then spraying it gold, which eliminates the need to sand.

oh ok i see where your coming from.
Even if you bought it from the US the shipping would make it worth the same value too so sh!ts ****ed either way.
