Hey Guys,
4000km and my ep3 will be at the 100,000km mark. Engine still running strong:)
I am unsure of what needs to be changed/replaced. Just wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers.
I did a water/coolant flush 2000kms ago so that aspect is fine.
Would be great if you could help out.
Cheers,
Brody

What sort of a service history has the car got?
Basics would be oil/filter & platinum spark plugs. From there you could do clutch/brake fluids & gearbox oil change and that would get it pretty much up to scratch

Had the car from 82,000km.
He had previous service history but didnt drive it enough since he imported. no idea what the history was like in Japan. Do a oil and filter change every 5000km.
What about the timing chain. Timing belts are to be changed at the 100k interval so what about the k20 chain?
thanks for that

Timing chain is a non serviceable item. You only replace it when the tensioner starts to fail

Might want to check your clutch as I have a couple of mates where their clutch is almost gone at around 80k. And maybe check your rotors

As mentioned look to doing clutch, brake and gearbox on top of your regular oil and spark plug replacement. Once you hit 120,000 kms look to doing valve clearances.

Looking into exedy stage 1 clutch and flywheel anyway so that's no problem. Clutch is fine but I want an upgrade. Cheers for the tips

yeh not really bothered about servicing in Japan. Car is running like a gem. As with most hondas.. regular oil change and general service and the car will run forever.

is the major service at 100,000km or 80,000km? I heard the DC5 is at 80,000km.

Not sure hey. I just expected 100k since thats with the majority.
Although I do remember reading the service report from auto masters when I bought it but I don't trust them with the quality of fluids and workmanship haha. Will do it at 100k just to be fresh.
