I've got an '05 Euro Luxury 5AT (completely stock) I recently purchased with 99000kms on the clock. Car starts fine normally, I know Euro's take longer to turn over than some similar cars.
A few times since I bought it 2 weeks ago I've turned the key to start and nothing happens, dash lights turn on but starter motor doesn't even try to turn the engine over (no noises whatsoever). All the electrics inside work fine (radio etc.)
If I remove and re-insert the key once or twice then the car starts fine with no struggling etc. Am I right in thinking there may be a problem with the immobiliser? It has happened with both keys so the problem must be with the car.
It's not really a huge problem but I don't want to be stuck somewhere if the car refuses to start at all though!
Thanks for any help
