ive notice that theres alot of rattling around the rear of the car.. whn goin over bumps n stuf.. specially goin up n down the drive way on an angle..

ive always thought it might c the suspension creaking.. or something like that?
it sorta feels like the body isnt strong. n its flexin whn i go over bumps..

has anyone else notice this. or is it just my car

yes my car creaks on coilovers when going over angled bumps... the chassis isn't the strongest... but its no slouch.

Mine creaks a bit. I think it's mainly the sway bar connections.

hrm. i might check my sway bars then
prob check everythin n tighten it up

but yeah. it is a bit wierd for the car to creakk..
sometimes i feel like its gonna fall apart

rear strut brace will not fix this issue. Several members have tried this and failed. If anything the strut brace will creak more.

i say grease everything and make sure its all tight, but not over tight :thumbsup:

my delsol creaks, sounds likes the chassis is gonna crack.
happens at the front when i go angled into a drive way.

car is pretty old and not so solid as new cars. you just need to accept it. I found that my trim makes alot of noise.

My 20yo Civic doesn't creak! Or maybe I just can't hear it over the rattles. :p

I pick up my new car tomorrow (1995 VTi hatch) so I'll check to see if it creaks and tell you. Seems like it's just a quirk of the car. Still seems strong though.

My 94 VTi Hatch doesn’t make any sounds at all, maybe the 98K on her clock is real :p

Tho I was starting to wonder coze the body looks 20 years old :rolleyes:

majority of the noise will be coming from worn or broken bushes such as the trailing arm bushes or swaybar mounts etc.
Fix / lube these up - and most the noise should disappear :)

Oh...having a car that has had previous accident damage also comes into play too lol !

its nothing to worry about anyway mate, most lightweight cars when pushed upon gravity will creak whether it be a speed bump or driveway, as the car get older it will creak more as parts are not as flush as standard ( tis life) my old prelude had the most groans and creaks my mates vtir teg is the same, i think its funny "come on old girl" haha
