Hey guys,

Was looking around the engine bay and noticed a hose was bubbling up. I've taken it off and noticed the nipple under the TB was blocked. I've cleaned it up and poked the hole through and some coolant came out.

If you can, please:

1. Tell me what the unit under the TB is called
2. Advise if I should change it

I've attached pictures to help

First image shows the puffed up hose on the left, top arrow on second image shows where the blockage was.

Cheers for any help

can't tell what it is from the pictures, but if it's a detachable and replaceable piece, id change it. looks pretty bad :/

I don't know what the proper name is, but it circulates coolant around the throttle body to warm it up.

In colder climates like Japan, Europe, America etc, where it gets below 0 in winter, its to prevent the throttle body from freezing shut. Coolant circulates, warms up the housing and allows the throttle plate to move.

Its not necessary in Australia, so you can block it off.
