Picked up the 09 VTIS manual last week, and sold the 06 VTI in 3 days !!!!
Love the feel of the new car, but have noticed the noisier nature of the new car, not that it is a bad noise. I also notice that the GE's have no cold air induction piping from the airbox, like the GD 1.5, leaving an open airbox in the engine bay,fed with cool air from the front of the bonnet by some nifty ducting.
On throttle openings while driving under load ( with radio off !!! ), I'm sure you can hear the sucking noise of the intake, the wife is worried it's something else. Has anyone else with a GE 1.5 noticed this sound ?
