My service manual doesn't include it for some odd reason, well its not under front suspension torque specifications or listed in the sway bar removal section.

The 84-87 model they put 16ft lb for both endlinks and bushing holder bolts.

But after googling I found on corvette forums they said 49-70 ft lb (for corvette sway bars) Different car I know, but figures are so different.

So I was wonder If anyone knew the correct figures as its the last thing to do before wheels go on ground. I tried 16 ft lb and I never actually reached it. The bushings where looking VERY squashed so I stopped, is this normal? Or is it meant to be loosish (without being loose).

Thanks everyone, looking forward to a speedy answer. :)

15-16 should be plenty

70ft lb on a swaybar d-bush! overkill i reckon... some head bolts are torqued to that!

Ok thank you, I read on some prelude forums that 16ft lb is standard just a few seconds a go, and also to do it by eye, should be a slight bulge with bushings. Time to go get the car on all four wheels after 6-8 months of jackstands. :)
